Lin Zongtang, Senior Engineer, born in 1926. Graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Tsinghua University in 1949. In the same year, he joined the CPC. Former Deputy Director of the State Economic Commission and Minister of Aerospace Industry. He has served as the head of the Industrial Department of the Northeast People's Government, deputy director of Shenyang First Machine Tool Factory, deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission, chief designer and chief engineer of Shanghai Heavy Machinery Factory, director of the Shanghai Municipal Economic Commission, deputy director and senior engineer of the National Science and Technology Commission, chief engineer of the High Energy Physics Engineering Command of the National Science and Technology Commission, professor at Tsinghua University, member of the National Economic Commission, deputy leader and office director of the State Council Leading Group for Major Technical Equipment, director of the State Council Machinery and Electrical Products Export Office, deputy director of the State Economic Commission, and minister of the Ministry of Aerospace Industry. He is a deputy to the Fifth National People's Congress.
